Development within the field of dietetics gives you experience with a variety of different paths. Dietitians need to gain experience not only in the science of food, but also its interaction within food service such as managing food systems in hospitals, hotels, schools, prisons, military, and restaurants We also gain experience in community nutrition, helping communities with little to no access with food or food education.

Graduated from Cornell Dietetic Internship
The only dietetic internship in the nation with an emphasis in research. During the internship, we conducted a pilot research study for six months. Then we presented our research at a New York State Conference. Interns spent five months in community nutrition, six weeks in food service management, and five months in a clinical nutrition setting. All add to a total of >1400 experiential hours, including 12 specialty medical fields.
Head Dietitian for Six Cancer Clinics in New York State
I work closely with radiation, surgical, medical oncology, and home infusion team. In just a few months of starting up the nutrition department, I have helped patients pre-and post-surgery, during chemotherapy and radiation, when they are on enteral or parenteral nutrition, advancing their diet, and survivorship. I have learned so much already from my workplace, and I think there is much more to learn from my coworkers and my patients.

This study is a cross-sectional study of the Around the Table program and its benefit in low SES communities using quantitative research to analyze the staff's program perspectives.

I love working within populations that I can make eating easier. Due to a lot of marketing and misinformation, many people have turned to supplements and diets that are not sustainable. During my time at the gym I gave people an anti-diet approach to eating well.
